Warm - Of Air
I’m tremendously proud of the album that Connecticut’s own Warm gave me the opportunity to work on. The goals of this record’s sonic imprint were made clear from the beginning: massive polyrhythm-laden heaviness while maintaining clarity in every instrument group. Achieving both of these things is not an easy task, but I think we did a pretty good job! From the tones we started with to the way the mix translates, this album’s vibe and character accurately captures the essence of the band’s live performance in a way that none of their previous recordings have.
Warm - Ash in the Waves
The album opener of Warm’s 2016 release “The Human Exemplar”, “Ash in the Waves” is a good example of the band’s diversity in sound. Where else can you get vicious riffage, followed by quieter, Alice In Chains-esque vocal and guitar play, not to be outdone by the best “elephants marching” riff you’ve heard in years – all in a cohesive package? Right here, doggo.
